Getting to Know the Owner

Technology can be bearable.

Hello, world! My name is Andrea Frost, and I have lived in the High Desert for most of my life. This community is fantastic, and I wanted to start working in such a great area. I have changed my career path from anatomy and forensic anthropology to cybersecurity and information assurance. Working towards my BS in cybersecurity at Western Governers University (WGU) has netted me some notable industry-level certifications.

Earning the certifications has been challenging but rewarding. I have three from CompTIA so far. They include CompTIA A+, which focuses on computer hardware, CompTIA Network+, focusing on the networking of computers, and CompTIA Security+, which focuses on how to keep computers secure. I earned the ITIL 4 Foundations certification that targeted customer service within tech support. CIW Site Developer certification, which certifies me to develop websites, was the first certification I earned while studying at WGU.

I am constantly finding more things to learn. In addition to my courses at WGU, I have been working on completing a proofreading course and self-teaching Python coding.

What I Offer

I am offering consulting services in the High Desert area for computers and writing. With my CompTIA A+ certification, I can troubleshoot physical issues with computers and software problems. I can repair computers, build computers, assemble and connect peripheral devices like printers, 3D printers, gaming systems, etc. I can troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure that you are correctly and securely connected to the internet. I am currently learning the basics of computer forensics and have gained the ability to recover lost or deleted files. I want to keep my clients safe while using technology and ensure that everything is running smoothly for them.

In addition to computer consulting, I also offer proofreading and copy editing services. Suppose there is something you need to check before publishing or submitting. I want to be of service. I have a Master's degree in Anatomy and Advanced Forensic Anthropology, two BAs in Anthropology and Criminal Justice - Crime analysis, and a minor in Geography. I am working towards my BS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. I can understand all of these areas in depth and assist with the proofreading or copy editing of documents related to these subjects. Examples include school papers, technical documents, articles, and instruction manuals. I am currently the copy editor for the Mountaineer Progress newspaper and look forward to assisting with your writing needs.

Looking Forward

As I am just starting this business, I will be relying on all of you in the future. I look forward to helping everyone that I can with technology and writing. I will continue to share more about myself and tips and tricks for writing and computers in the future. My goal is to make technology bearable for the High Desert community and help keep everyone's writing crisp and clear.

If you need help with your computer or any other technology, book a consultation with me. Don't hesitate to contact me whenever you need someone to take a second or last look at your writing. Let me know what type of services you would be interested in by leaving a comment or question.
